Everyone faces the occasional adverse weather in their career and in life, this week my guest is Bill Derrick, author of "Restored by the Storm: Navigating Through Life's Unexpected Challenges".

Bill shares his journey from civil engineering background to successful entrepreneur in the construction industry. We chat about navigating life's storms with resilience, and the transition from employee to business owner. Bill reflects on the challenges he faced in his business during the 2008 recession, also touches on his personal journey with cancer and how these storms of life inspired him to write the book, which is about overcoming adversity and the lessons learned along the way.
