His research explores the psychology of Kremlin leaders and their global power ambitions.

Author of "Two Suns in the Heavens: The Sino-Soviet Struggle for Supremacy" and "Unwanted Visionaries: The Soviet Failure in Asia", he offers unique historical perspective on Russia's contemporary alliance strategies.
